On Being Alive
Today, I am embarking on my third year of the #100dayproject, a free global art project that takes place online. It’s very simple: I am committing to 100 days of creating.
Last year I created every day, but I had a hard time keeping up online because I found what was coming through for me was very personal. You can read about that here. Now that I have the songs completed, I’m in a very different place.
This year, I am doing something that I hope allows me to share much more. I have decided to create under the theme of “On Being Alive.” Using a mix of music, art, conversation, photos, and whatever else might bubble up, I’m devoting my focus to aliveness. Everyday, I’m going to share a moment that reminds me I’m alive.
I’d like to invite you to join me. Feel free to post here, or post online using the hashtag #onbeingalive. Post something that reminds you you are a living, breathing, entity. I’ll be sharing things that delight me, new ideas, stories, and any other ruminations that unfold over the course of 100 days. An unexpected dog lick to the face, a loud noise that makes you jump, a beam of sunshine that lights up a detail you hadn’t taken much notice of… I want more moments IN the moment.
